It achieves its CSR objectives through the provision of funds and repairs of roads, supply of free water to the surrounding community, free medical services including provision of anti-retroviral drugs, a heavily subsidized primary school among others. The company has made significant impact on maintenance of infrastructure in cane zone.

MUHORONI SUGAR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Muhoroni sugar co. runs a premier primary school and a junior secondary school (Muhoroni Success primary and junior school) that has performed exceptionally well nationally over the last 20years in the KCPE examinations.
2.    Muhoroni Sugar Co. Ltd provided land for two pubic primary schools ( Muhoroni factory primary school & St Agnes Muhoroni Primary School) and one public secondary school( Our Lady Queen Of Peace Secondary School).
3.    Muhoroni Sugar Co. provides treated water to the surrounding community:
a)    Churches (SDA Church)
b)    Schools (Muhoroni Factory Primary, Our Lady Queen of Peace Secondary School, Muhoroni Success Primary School).
c)    Muhoroni stadium
d)    MUSCO Junction squatters and Konyango Settlement.
e)    Provision of clean drinking water on subsidised rates during funerals and other gatherings.
4.    Muhoroni Sugar Company rehabilitates and maintains roads within Muhoroni Sugar out grower zone to enhance zonal mobility.
5.    Muhoroni Sugar Company provides ARVs to the surrounding community though the company dispensary with over 300 persons registered as at 2024.
6.    Muhoroni Sugar company provides health services in collaboration with Ministry of health and other partners, through the MUSCO dispensary, and Antenatal Care for less than 5 years with an annual target of 45 persons.
7.    MUSCO in collaboration with the County Government of Kisumu repaired the road to the Nyayo sub county hospital in Muhoroni for easier access by the community.
8.    Muhoroni sugar co. has provided the Muhoroni Stadium to the community for talent empowerment.

Education: The Company has set up a nursery and a primary school that offers top academic services to children of its staff and the surrounding community. Success Primary school has continued to be the best in Nyando district and the top ten in Nyanza province since its inception in the mid-eighties.

Health: The Company has a medical unit within the premises to carter for the employees, their defendants and the surrounding community.

Medical Services: The company medical unit provides the following medical services to the staff, their families and the public in Muhoroni area:  
a). Preventive service
b). Curative services
c). Promotive/rehabilitative services

The Medical unit is well equipped with both human and physical resources. This is further supplemented by outsourcing of an efficient health management provider                  

Water: MUSCO provides free water to over 40 families in Muhoroni town.
